Meet at 14.00 hrs. at the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust lodge on Inglestone Common Grid Ref ST746 881 for an interesting Natural History Walk with John whose knowledge of trees, flowers, butterflies and birds is unsurpassed.

A great area to find:

  • Silver washed Fritillary
  • White Admiral
  • Comma and others.

Orchids and other flowers can also be found and the ancient woodland resounds with the call of birds. It can be very muddy after a spell of rain.

Directions from Wickwar. Take a small minor road to Inglestone Common: cross over a cattle grid onto the Common then after a short distance take a track to the right which leads to the lodge.
